The reason it disconnects is because of the low power state. If you have DSL, this should not happen. Essentially what this amounts to is that if your computer is “air gapped” from any outside network, the only way for a “hacker” to get access to it is if they have physical access to it.

I just received my computer from CyberPower recently and everything has been working great. Except for one thing. Whenever I load up a game like Starcraft 2 or Tomb raider, my Wifi adapter disconnects from my Internet connection. So because I go full screen in Starcraft 2, I can't connect online to it's servers. In addition, now that I'm home, my computer disconnects from the internet when I close the lid and this it to my normal wifi connection, not even using the hotspot. When this is set, the VPN disconnects every time the computer is locked. Try clearing the checkmark - it resolved the problem for me.
